With its nearly 1.5 million people, Rosario is very popular among students because of its University and has become more and more like a small Buenos Aires.

The city main sites are:

  • Argentina Flag Memorial (Monumento a la Bandera)
  • The house where “El Che Guevara” was born (Urquiza St. and Entre Rios St.)
  • Parque Independencia (One of the oldest and largest parks in the country)
  • Rosario Central Stadium (built for the 1978 World Cup)
  • Paseo del Siglo (pedestrian section of Cordoba street, from Bv. Rondeau to the Flag Memorial)
  • The Islands (you take a boat from Passenger’s terminal near Flag Memorial)
  • Rambla de Catalunya and Paseo del Caminante (Near La Florida beach)
