With its nearly 1.5 million people, Rosario is very popular among students because of its University and has become more and more like a small Buenos Aires.
The city main sites are:
- Argentina Flag Memorial (Monumento a la Bandera)
- The house where “El Che Guevara†was born (Urquiza St. and Entre Rios St.)
- Parque Independencia (One of the oldest and largest parks in the country)
- Rosario Central Stadium (built for the 1978 World Cup)
- Paseo del Siglo (pedestrian section of Cordoba street, from Bv. Rondeau to the Flag Memorial)
- The Islands (you take a boat from Passenger’s terminal near Flag Memorial)
- Rambla de Catalunya and Paseo del Caminante (Near La Florida beach)
