What are Chamamé and Doma?

Chamamé is a folk music genre from the Argentine Northeast, Mesopotamia (“Litoral”) and in the south of Brazil. Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul and Mato Grosso do Sul.

Festival Nacional de la Doma y el Folclore (Horse Training and Folklore Festival) are traditional festivals in Argentina. the most famous on takes place every year in January in the city of Jesus Maria (Province of Cordoba) which gathers around 200,000 national and international attendants. The festival is held in the stadium known as La Doma located close to the downtown core of the city. Among street vendors and side shows, the festival features a celebration of old Gaucho culture. These Argentine cowboys can be seen riding down the streets on their horses, cell phones in hand.
